Koala Conventions specialise in organising the very best Embroidery, Craft & Textile retreats for ladies (and some gentlemen!) wishing to learn these ancient art forms. Our aim is simple: to offer you a wide selection of wonderful designs with which to learn or advance your skills, while under the expert guidance of Professional Tutors, Artists, Designers & Authors from both Australia and overseas.
Special features of our conventions are: a congenial atmosphere in beautiful surroundings, quality catering, a choice of budget or luxury accommodation, an evening banquet, scenic tours, free special presentations, displays of tutors and students work, competitions and a large on-site shop supported and attended by major needlework & craft suppliers.
Our workshops include but are not limited to:Crewel Work, Thread Painting, Silk Painting, Felting, Patch Work, Stumpwork, Beading, Doll Making, Knitting, Crochet, Gold Work, Pulled Fabric, Trapunto, Millinery, Barbola and even Framing.
