Interview with Wendy, a scrapbooker. Why are you a scrapbooker? One of the main reasons I scrapbook, apart from being a creative outlet and the recording of memories, is that it is practically instantaneous; you can see results straight away! What was it that attracted you to scrapbooking?Do something fun with all the photos! How did you go about learning how to do your craft? I had a Creative Memories party. How would you describe the style and theme of the layouts you would most typically create? I mostly scrap about my 5 children. My style is fairly simplistic at the moment. I am still evolving. What have you been working on this week? Over the weekend we just held a Cybercrop. I managed to get 3 layouts done from the challenges I set. I have noticed in your gallery pages online that you don’t just use paper, card and photos in your designs, what other materials have you used? ![]() Christmas Paper Bag Album One of best things in Scrapbooking is that almost anything goes! I love wooden alphas right now. Where do you look for inspiration when you are about to start something new? I look through scrapbook and craft magazines, and also
Home Design and Style magazines. Our gallery is also very inspirational. I really like some of my heritage style pages, but I would have to say, the 3 pages I just did on the weekend are now among my favs. What has been the most difficult aspect of your craft for you to learn? Keeping up with all the new products! What do you find most pleasing about scrapbooking? The sense of community. It is a perfect way to record precious memories along
with your photos, and it is something that you can put down, and come
back to. Join a scrapbooking forum. There will always be someone who can help with any questions, from getting started, to finding a perfect quote for a page! Do you ever teach your craft in classes? I haven’t, but am considering it. We have 4 Creative Team Members right now who teach online classes. ![]() ![]() Challenge layout- Swing Scrapbook interview continued..
